November 21-25, 2018 in Shumen (Bulgaria) was held X international tournament in Informatics (IOI, http://iati-shu.org/en/home/) This year more than 200 schoolchildren from Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Switzerland competed in the International tournament.
IATI - the only international competition in Informatics, which is held in the form of two Olympiads: for "Juniors" up to 15.5 years and for senior - "Seniors" over 15.5 years. In two rounds, students solve three problems on each round in the C++.
For the first time the experience of participation in this tournament received teams from Tatarstan (KFU Lyceum team) since 2011, and since 2013 the official team of the Russian Federation regularly went to the tournament following the results of the all-Russian training camps held by the Ministry of Education of Russia. Thanks to the interaction of the Organizing Committee of ISIJ with the organizing Committee of the Tournament since 2017, Russia has provided a quota for the participation of more teams, expanding the representation of the interregional Junior team and teams of Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Tatarstan and Kazan lyceums.
In 2018, 11 teams of 4 participants in the team have already Played for Russia: 6 teams among juniors and 5 teams among high school students, a total of 44 participants.
A total of 37 medals were awarded at the Junior Tournament and 50 medals at the senior Tournament.
As a result, 44 Russian schoolchildren won 29 medals including 11 gold medals at the Tournament in Shumen in 2018.
Junior team of the International school of Informatics
Among the Junior teams was represented the interregional Junior team of Russia (Russia 4-in the list of Junior participants in Shumen), which was selected and trained in the framework of the summer international school of Informatics for juniors (ISIJ, www.isi-junior.ru ). This School is held on the initiative of the Chairman of the ISIJ - V. M. Kiryukhin- together with the countries participants of IOI (international Olympiad in Informatics) since 2017 in Kazan with the assistance of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan Federal University and Innopolis University-venues of IOI 2016 and EJOI 2018 (European Junior Olympiad in Informatics).
The main objective of the School is to support talented young students, to give them the opportunity of gaining experience of international training for high start.
And the interregional Russian team (four of juniors) of 2018 (representatives of the cities - Yekaterinburg, Moscow, Ivanovo, Izhevsk) – participants of the International school in Informatics - confirmed the high potential, having won 2 silver and 2 bronze medals. This once again confirms the fact that new talents are constantly growing!

In 2018, for 71 participants among juniors 37 medals were awarded: 8 gold, 11 silver and 18 bronze medals. Russian juniors (24 participants) won 15 medals - 5 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals.
The interregional Junior team from ISIJ won two silver and two bronze medals and was included in the ranking of the results for the first 25 rounds of the Junior tournament!
